1970's Vintage Working 4-Station Transistor Intercom in Rockcliffe, Ontario for sale

* Archer brand model 43-216A, from Radio Shack/Tandy; for home, office or shop use
* the master station with 3 jacks connects to each of the 3 remote station jacks via three 60 ft. long wire pairs with plugs at each end
* all stations have snap on/off back covers and can be wall-mounted (screws included), or can be placed on a surface, or hand-held
* with a 9v battery in the master (or use a 9v AC adapter - not included)
* with a bilingual instruction sheet, that includes a circuit diagram
* the master has a mic/speaker, a push-to-talk button, an on/off/volume control, and a switch to select 'hold' (all 3 remotes) or any one of the 3 remotes: R1, R2 or R3
* each remote has a mic/speaker and a call button
* the master is 4.75 x 4 x 1.75 in. thick, and each remote is 3 x 4 x 1.75 in. thick
How it works:
* with the master on 'hold', and 'off' (as usual when not in use, to save the battery), pushing 'call' at any remote alerts the master with a squeal sound that a remote person wants attention (a remote person can push 'call' 1, 2 or 3 times to identify their remote no.)
* that may be all that's needed for contact; or the master person can turn the master on, select the right remote, push-to-talk, talk and release to listen; then the remote person talks ... etc.
* it also works the other way: with the master on 'hold' and 'off', push-to-talk by the master alerts the remotes with a squeal sound that the master person wants attention (the master person can push 1, 2 or 3 times to identify a desired remote, or the master can preselect a desired remote)
* the remote person then pushes 'call' to let the master know that he/she's there
* that may be all that's needed for contact; or the master person can turn the master on, push-to-talk, talk and release to listen; then the remote person talks ... etc.
